Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how BabySteps: Log & Track ("BabySteps", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information.

Information You Provide

BabySteps allows you to log information about your baby and your parenting experience. This includes:

• Baby name, date of birth, gender, and photo
• Feeding logs (type, amount, duration, breast side)
• Sleep logs (start time, end time, quality, location)
• Diaper change logs (type, time)
• Growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference)
• Medical and vaccine records (names, dates, notes, reminders)
• Parent wellness check-ins (mood, sleep quality, support level)
• Caregiver shift logs

All of this data is stored locally on your device. If you are a Pro subscriber, it may also be synced to your personal iCloud account (see below).

Information We Do Not Collect

BabySteps does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Your location or GPS data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• Any personally identifiable information

We do not require an account to use the app. There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile.

iCloud & CloudKit Sync

Pro subscribers may have their data synced across devices via Apple's iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure. This sync uses your personal Apple ID and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not operate any servers — your data travels directly between your devices through Apple's secure infrastructure.

CloudKit Sharing

Pro subscribers can share baby data with other caregivers (e.g., a partner) using Apple's CloudKit sharing. When you share:

• Baby information and event logs (feeding, sleep, diaper, growth, medical, caregiver shifts) are shared with the people you invite.
• Parent wellness check-ins are never shared. They remain private to each parent's device and iCloud account.

Sharing is entirely under your control. You can revoke access at any time.

Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-friendly analytics service that:

• Does not collect personal data
• Does not collect or store IP addresses
• Does not use device identifiers
• Only provides us with aggregated usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most)

No individual user can be identified from this data.

Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. When the app crashes, Crashlytics may collect:

• Device model and OS version
• App state at the time of the crash
• Stack trace information

No personal information, baby data, or wellness data is included in crash reports. No other Firebase products are used in the app.

Notifications

BabySteps uses local notifications for feeding reminders, medical reminders, and weekly summaries. These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No push notification tokens are sent to any server.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party services used by BabySteps are:

• TelemetryDeck — privacy-friendly usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash reporting

We do not display advertisements. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third party. There is no social media tracking or integration.

Data Retention & Deletion

All your data is stored locally on your device and, for Pro subscribers, in your personal iCloud account.

• Deleting the app removes all local data from your device.
• iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.
• We do not retain any copy of your data on our servers because we do not operate any servers.

Children's Privacy

BabySteps is designed for parents and caregivers to track information about their babies and children. The app does not collect information directly from children. All data is entered by the parent or caregiver.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
